The dynamic device is a modern ritual artefact designed mainly to "dispel" (exorcism). “1659 beats/minute” means the working efficiency within a minute, 1659 times exorcisms. The installation was inspired by a series of new re-designs for religious artefacts represented by “electric prayer wheel”. In order to quantify and emphasize the efficiency of traditional ritual behaviour, I summarize six religious and folk ritual behaviours with the "dispelling" effect and assign them on the device layer by layer. It aims to discuss the tendency that the boundary between current technology in the sci-tech world and the traditional ritual behaviour is becoming increasingly blurred, but the two sides are approaching to integrate with each other.
